Welcome to the 2021 Bronx Borough Virtual Arts Exhibition
Now in it's 7th year, the Bronx Borough Arts Festival features a visual art and performing arts exhibition providing students with the opportunity to celebrate and share their artistic voice. Although, this year we cannot be in-person due to COVID-19; we couldn't be prouder of our talented students, teachers, and school leaders for coming together to make this virtual experience happen. In a year like no other, teachers and administrators have risen to the occasion to put students and their needs at the heart of the work. The pandemic has forever changed our lives, we need the arts more than ever to support our students and school communities. The arts are a tool for self-expression, education, giving hope, sharing experiences, creating community, and driving discussion. We are grateful to our arts educators, school administrators, and parents who continue to push student thinking in the arts, provide arts exposure to various genres and disciplines, and lastly who support the development of arts appreciation.

Congratulations to our talented student visual artists and performers for the exemplary work they have accomplished during such a challenging year. I would also like to extend my gratitude to their talented teachers, families, and committed school leaders for their continued support of rigorous arts programming in their schools.
I applaud the artistic accomplishments of all our students across the city and look forward to making a continuous, rigorous, inclusive arts education a reality for all New York City public school students.
